Updated pictures

Last week was a special week. Caleb had a few visitors in from PA. For 9 day, Caleb was held just about the entire time, which he didn't mind a single bit. He got to meet his cousins Paige, Hannah, and Cole. He also got to meet Uncle Chris and Aunt Heather. But most importantly, he got to meet Mamaw and Pa. A great time was had by all. We would like to give a special thank you to Uncle Jim and Aunt Sharon for hosting everyone. We really had a great time. The weekend wrapped up with a special visit from the Easter Bunny for Caleb's first Easter.

Mommy goes back to work.

Today was a huge day in the life of Caleb. His Mommy went back to work today. Daddy had a day off due to hours, so Caleb got to spend the day at home, not that he would mind being at Aunt Sharon's anyway. (He's crazy about her.) While the day had its ups and downs, the most precious thing I was fortunate enough to witness was the reunion this evening when Caleb and Mommy were together again. And just when you thought the day couldn't get anymore exciting, we had visitors from Louisiana stop over to meet our little guy. Brad, Emily, and Anna Claire (friends of ours) spent some quality time with us this evening and even hammered out a song or two on GH3. Thanks for coming by to see us guys, we really miss you.

Dr visits, thunderstorms, and FireTrucks, Oh my!

This past week has been a crazy week. Monday started off with a Dr visit for Caleb, cut short by the arrival of a fire truck. As far as we can tell, an A/C unit malfunctioned and caused the alarm to trigger. Caleb got a kick out of the fire trucks to arrive shortly after the excitement. As soon as everyone filed outside the office, the skies opened up and the thunder clapped and unfortunately for me, the pollen got kicked up. It was no surprise to me, the next day I started feeling really crappy. Little did I know what was in store. After getting up in Tuesday and debating with myself whether to take a sick day, I thought better of it and went to work. As my work day wrapped, I was feeling alot worse for wear. I came home and thought a small nap might help me feel a bit better while Tammy and Caleb went to visit Aunt Sharon and (second cousin)Amy. About an hour later, I awoke feeling like I had been hit by a bus. I found a thermometer and measured a temp of 102.0. Long story short and an ER visit later, I have a full blown case of influenza. So for the next 5 days, I'll be checking my temp. getting lots of rest, and doing my best to keep from getting that baby boy of ours sick. The hard part about it all is that for the next few days, I can't even hold my son. Honestly, I think that is harder than the aching muscles, pounding headaches, and stuffy nose.

Week #3

This week, I learned a whole bunch of new stuff. I learned that Mommy and Daddy aren't the only ones who can hold my bottle. I also got a little more familiar with my puppy, Rylee and I got to share Mommy's lap with Daisy, my kitty. Next, I got to wear alot of my new clothes from family, and they all fit now. Mommy and Daddy say I have grown since they first met me, but I can't tell the difference. The "All Star" outfit is from my Great Aunt Sharon. Another outfit I got to wear is the "Milkbone puppies" outfit from my Aunt Brandi and Uncle Chris. I can't wait to meet them and thank them for it. Daddy got his toe cut on this week, but he still had time to hold me, and take a bunch of pictures with the "flash" thing. If I've learned anything this week, its that Mommy and Daddy love me a whole bunch.

Week #2

This past week was filled with adventure and surprises. Mommy and Daddy were able to get a little more use to the idea of little sleep. I got to meet Mimi and Poppie (Daddy's parents) and my Great Grandpap (Mommy's Grandpap). Mommy had her first solo outing since I came into their world, and Daddy and me got to spend quality time together. What can I say? I'm a happy baby!
